Founded by Chris Langford, the business was inspired by the life and memory of his late wife, Brittney, whose passion for cars and adventure continues to drive everything we do today.
Chris and Brittney shared a love for racing, engines, and the thrill of the automotive world. Their bond was built on countless memories at the track and a shared joy for cars. After Brittney’s tragic passing in 2013, Chris faced a crossroads: allow her name to become a painful memory, or honor her spirit by creating something lasting in her name. He chose the latter — to build a business rooted in strength and resilience, keeping her passion alive with every repair, every upgrade, and every vehicle that comes through the shop.
From Humble Beginnings to Community Trust
BL Performance began in 2016 with just $700 and a small 700-square-foot bay. With determination, skill, and the support of his community, Chris quickly established a reputation for quality, honesty, and expert automotive work. By 2017, he had expanded into a larger location on Diamond Lake Boulevard and hired his first employee. In 2023, BL Performance moved into its current shop on SE Oak, where it continues to grow and serve more drivers in Douglas County and beyond.
What started as a one-man effort has now become a thriving operation with nine talented technicians and a dedicated operations manager. Together, the team works tirelessly to uphold the shop’s commitment to excellent service, precision repairs, and lasting relationships with customers.
